Data deletion

You can delete your EchoStream account yourself, at any time, from inside the panel. It takes effect immediately and cannot be undone.

1. Delete your account from the panel

Sign in at EchoStream and open your profile page.
Scroll to the bottom, to the section called "Close my account".
Type DELETE into the box and press "Close account".
That is it. You are signed out and the account is closed straight away.

2. What is deleted

Your videos are deleted from our storage, permanently.
Your destinations, connected accounts and stream keys are removed. Anything still pointing at us stops working.
Your profile details are erased and you cannot sign in again.
Records of payments you made are kept, without your details attached, because we are required to keep them for accounting.

3. If you signed in with Google or Facebook

Closing the account also removes the id that Google or Facebook assigned you, so pressing their button again later starts a brand new account. We only ever received your name and email address from them; we hold no other data from either service and nothing is left behind with them on our side. You can additionally remove EchoStream from the list of apps on your Google or Facebook account, which stops them sharing anything with us in future.

4. If you cannot sign in

Write to mian@echostream.live from the email address on the account and ask for it to be deleted. We confirm the address matches, close the account the same way, and reply when it is done, normally within a few days.
